Privacy Policy

PowerCloser is a WhatsApp assistant platform for property agents and agencies, operated by Ahmad Faizal Basri (REN 26831) (“PowerCloser”, “we”, “us”). Agents who subscribe (“Agents”) connect their own WhatsApp Business number, and PowerCloser helps them answer enquiries about the properties they market. This policy explains what data is handled, by whom, and the choices you have. We follow Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. Who is responsible for your data

• If you messaged a property agent on WhatsApp: the agent or agency you contacted decides how your enquiry is handled and is responsible for your data. PowerCloser processes it on their behalf, only to provide the service to them.
• If you are an Agent with a PowerCloser account: PowerCloser is responsible for your account data.

2. Information we handle

People who message an Agent on WhatsApp

• WhatsApp phone number and profile name.
• Messages you send and the replies you receive.
• Details you choose to share, such as preferred area, unit, budget, payment method (cash or loan), move-in timing and viewing availability.
• Notes and labels the Agent adds to manage your enquiry (for example, “interested in viewing”).

We do not ask for identity card numbers, bank details or passwords over WhatsApp.

Agents

• Name, email, phone number, agency and referral code given at sign-up.
• Your password, stored only as a one-way hash.
• Your business information, property listings, WhatsApp and Telegram connection details, plan and usage.

3. How the data is used

• To reply to enquiries and recommend suitable listings from the Agent’s own listings.
• To estimate costs such as monthly instalments when asked. These are estimates only.
• To pass enquiries to the Agent, arrange viewings and follow up.
• To notify the Agent (for example on Telegram) about new messages and serious buyers.
• To run, secure and bill the PowerCloser service, and to contact Agents about their account.
• To send property updates only to people who agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time (see section 7).

4. Automated replies

Many replies are written by an AI assistant that only uses the Agent’s business information and listings. If you ask whether you are talking to a bot, it will tell you. It can hand the conversation to the human Agent at any time. Just ask to speak with the agent.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal data. Each Agent’s data is kept separate and is only visible to that Agent and to PowerCloser for support. We use these providers to run the service:

• Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) to send and receive messages.
• Anthropic to generate replies from the conversation text.
• Telegram to deliver notifications to Agents.
• Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting) to store and run the service.

These providers may process data outside Malaysia. They only handle it to provide their service to us.

6. How long data is kept

Conversation records are kept while the enquiry is active and for as long as the Agent reasonably needs for follow-up and record keeping. When an Agent closes their account, their data is deleted within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

7. Your choices and rights

• Stop messages: reply STOP in the WhatsApp chat and you will stop receiving updates.
• Access, correct or delete your data: send DELETE MY DATA in the WhatsApp chat, contact the Agent directly, or contact us through faizalbasri.my. Requests are handled within 14 days.
• Agents can update their details in Settings, or ask us to close their account and delete their data.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to each Agent’s own account, and passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login details private.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
